The main aim of my outreach service is to support mainstream colleagues to meet the needs of pupils working below age related expectations or pupils
that have additional needs or a diagnosis that results in difficulties accessing the curriculum.

This could involve an individual pupil referral or a referral for more holistic advice to meet the needs of a group of learners. It could also include support to strengthen the provision within a Specialist Resource Base.

My support may include observation of the pupil, provision of resources and training, modelling of specific teaching, inclusion or low level behaviour support strategies and supporting with target setting, planning, and differentiation. Where appropriate, I may also attend joint feedback/support meetings with parents.

I have vast experience advising school staff on a wide range of complex situations and needs and my experience as a qualified SENDCO ensures that the Code of Practice is always fully embedded within my advice.
